Daily Bible Reading Plan What's for Dinner

daily bible reading plan
Consider using the “The Scriptures 2009 Edition” (my personal favorite) also available at Bible.com, the NASB or the New King James version. These are “word for word” translations. Bible like NLT and NIV are “thought for thought” translations and often enter in doctrinal biases and even worse flat out lies. You might think you won’t understand the word for word but the Holy Spirit (Ruach Hakodesh) will teach you and lead you into all truth. Another great tool is the Blue Letter Bible where you can get to the root of the words and the literal meanings. This is very helpful.

Why is The Scripture 2009 Edition my personal favorite? For one it is a word for word translation. It restores the name of the Father in the Torah and Prophets were translators placed LORD instead of יהוה (YHVH Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey). Often pronounced Yehovah or Yahweh (abbreviated), or Yah (intimate abbreviation), It also uses Elohim in place of God (which is generic), Adonai for Lord (where appropriate and יהושע Yeshua for Jesus. Names matter Yeshua literally means “Yahweh Saves”. Reading through the Scriptures you will be amazed how many times we are commanded to call upon His name, therefore we should know it.

Blessings family!
יהוה bless you and guard you; ”
יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favour to you;
יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.” ’
Thus they shall put My Name on the children of Yisra’ĕl, and I Myself shall bless them.

INSTRUCTIONS: There are only 2 of the daily readings that have specific days.
1. Psalms (month/day/chapter(s)/verses)
2. Proverbs (read the chapter for that calendar day)
The rest are bookmarks, to track what chapter to read next.

The first day you start would be.
Genesis: Chapter 1
Josh: Chapter 1
Isaiah: Chapter 1
Ezekiel: Chapter 1
Psalms: (chapter/verses on Psalms sheet)
Proverbs (calendar day)
Matthew: Chapter 1
Acts: Chapter 1
1 Corinthians: Chapter 1
Revelation: Chapter 1

The following day chapter 2 and so on. For books like Revelation you will go through it every 22 days. Keep a pencil and a highlighter handy along with a journal, diary or something to write in so that you can take notes and write down questions. Do this systematically and in time the Holy Spirit will teach you the whole Testament and to be KINGDOM MINDED, do kingdom things in kingdom ways. Jesus (Yeshua) is coming. Maranatha!
