Complaining – a biblical reason to break this terrible habit
I heard a teaching the other day about leprosy and complaining and how God squeezes us to bring to the surface things that need to be repented of so we are clean. He said this time of nearing Shavout is gonna be a squeezing and a purging.
It will be good to remember that when the trials come and to be encouraged to be overcomers. We can therefore remind each other throughout this time to keep our eyes fixed on Yeshua!! I wrote something on what God showed me about complaining awhile back that I will share with you.
Shabbat Shalom be encouraged He’s birthing in us victory and all the Praise belongs to Him❣️
I never really enjoyed reading Leviticus. I just tolerated it as part of the reading plan. But many years ago after one verse, Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual… it’s as if the Holy Spirit tapped me on the shoulder and my Bible reading was never the same.
I was reading in Leviticus chapter 14 and verse 34 jumped out at me. “When you have come into the land of Canaan, which I give you as a possession, and >I< put the leprous plague in a >house< in the land of your possession
God put the leprous plague in a house! Why?
I thought about that for a minute. Then verse 40 jumped out at me. “then the priest shall command that they take away the >stones< in which is the plague, and they shall cast them into an >unclean place outside the city<
The word stones jumped out at me which reminded me of this verse in 1 Peter 2:5 you also, as >living stones,< are being built up a >spiritual house,< a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Wow, we are living stones being built up, a spiritual house!
Then this phrase, cast out to an unclean place outside the city. It’s never good to be outside the city or camp.
Miriam learned this the hard way. Numbers 12-Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman…So the anger of the LORD was aroused against them, and He departed and when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became >leprous,< as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper…So Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! Please do not lay this >sin< on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned…Then the LORD said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut >>out of the camp seven days,<< and afterward she may be received again.”
It was her words that got her in trouble. James 3 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that >it defiles the whole body,< and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell
These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: …A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who >sows discord among brethren.<
Being outside the camp for 7 days was an opportunity to reflect and get right with the Lord and it was necessary so that the offense, in Miriam’s case the complaining and jealousy, didn’t infect the rest of the camp. As we know this can spread very easily in a house, group or congregation.
This spoke to me. Something the Lord showed me today that I need to take care of so as not to infect others.
As we see the day approaching the Father is really shaking things up in our world and I know I need and want to walk in repentance and prayer as this has never been so necessary as it is now. To love God, to love the brethren, to be at peace with one another and to make sure that I am clean both inside and out!!

The Gate of Thanksgiving! The way back into the house/camp.
Psalm 118:19,20,21…,29
Open the gates of righteousness; I enter through them, “I thank Yah” <-20This is the gate of YHVH, The righteous enter through it. 21I thank Yah… 29Give thanks to YHVH, for He is good! For His loving-commitment is everlasting.
